Quarter Gimel, Be’er Sheva (with 1:1 Landscape Arc. & Urban Design)
Urban Renewal Master Plan
As part of my work at 1:1 Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, led by Landscape Architect Havi Livne, I led the development of the master plan for the urban renewal of Quarter Gimel in Beer Sheva. Commissioned by the Municipality of Beer Sheva, the project was carried out in close collaboration with Peled Kimelman Architects, who were responsible for planning the built environment, while our office led the design and planning of the public realm.
The process began with a comprehensive mapping of the existing urban fabric and an analysis of urbanism in desert environments. Building on these insights, I developed a clear and cohesive vision for a renewed, more resilient, and future neighborhood. Below are some snippets from the process.

Guided by our core principles—creating public spaces that are livable, healthy, socially vibrant, environmentally responsible, and economically sustainable - I produced detailed street sections, open-space typologies, urban design guidelines, and a strategic tree-planting policy. Together, these tools shaped a high-quality public realm that supports community life and enhances climatic comfort.
This work was carried out while planning a significant intensification of the built environment, ensuring the neighborhood can accommodate a growing population in accordance with national master plans.
